MARCO MIRANDA SR. He has been a regular contributor to publications in the US and in Europe, and at one time was a syndicated columnist for a Technology service. He is the author of treatments and scripts for Television, and has participated in a number of international film and TV co-productions in Europe In recent years he has written travel articles, book reviews, a syndicated column on technology and another on general topics, this last in Spanish and English. He has written TV and movie scripts for British and American producers and has participated in a number of TV productions in Europe and in the US. He writes a monthly review, “marcowrite”, that enjoys private distribution. He has been a contributor to the New York Times Forums since the year 2000. He writes under the pseudonyms John Bake and aurelio23. His background includes a management career with Union Carbide Corporation where as a Chemical Engineer, he participated in the development of special materials for the Chemical Process, Aerospace and Nuclear industries and held management positions in Milan, Geneva and Madrid.. As CEO of Carbide’s subsidiaries in Spain he oversaw a major investment program and negotiated off-shore oil exploration rights in the Spanish Sahara. His 30 years of varied professional experience in Europe and the US have given him a unique perspective on social, economic and scientific disciplines around the world. His years in television and films add another facet to a rich and successful background. His recent book A MATTER OF ENERGY, PublishAmerica is one of a series that includes historical themes, energy resources, cartoons and suspense stories taking place in France’s Cote D’Azur. A US citizen, he is married to Elena Lorenzo, a Clinical Psychologist, and lives in Atlanta,Georgia. i |
